VERDICT: Woods (1) was a pleasing third on his hurdling debut at Fontainebleau last month over 3000m, and he can improve from that experience. The drop in class is a positive, and he can get off the mark at the expense of Phalope (5), who showed signs of ability at Mont-De-Marsan on her hurdling debut in mid-March.
