VERDICT: Not beaten far in his attempt to land the double at Wolverhampton last month, Mariner showed enough pace on that occasion to suggest he may be able to go in again on the drop back to 7f. A winner at Kempton on his penultimate outing and runner-up at Lingfield since, Split Elevens is a key player, along with the consistent Rogue Thunder, who has been second on his last two starts here.
