VERDICT: Douglas Dc posted a better effort here last time when finishing third in first-time blinkers. However, he's yet to win on the Flat, and the less exposed Jailbird makes more appeal. The latter has been racing over hurdles without success since landing a handicap on the level at Lingfield last summer and returns to this code with solid claims off her current mark. Avarice and Marinakis won classified races on their latest starts with the former preferred over today's distance.
