VERDICT: While an ease in the ground would be preferable, Chef's Kiss might be well enough treated to register a first Rules success. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding shaped with promise when a staying-on third here over Christmas. Despite failing to build on that effort when down the field at Fairyhouse subsequently, he may not have been suited to dropping back in trip. A former point-to-point winner, the additional three furlongs he encounters now is very much in his favour. The Sugarhill Lady disappointed on her most recent appearance, but better is expected on this handicap debut. Bal Kauto departed four out on his reappearance after a long absence, but is entitled to have come on for that.
