VERDICT: Henri Matisse showed some wayward tendencies as a juvenile but also plenty of talent when winning four times. The Wootton Bassett colt had Arizona Blaze nearly four lengths behind when landing the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh and successfully signed off the campaign in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf when stepping up to a mile at Del Mar. Arizona Blaze went close in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and now tries this trip for the first time having scored in good style over 6f at Dundalk earlier this month. The form of Hazdann's maiden win at the Curragh last summer has worked out exceptionally well and it will be interesting to see how he has progressed.
