VERDICT: In an open event marginal preference is for Broughshane, who showed promise when third on his chasing debut at Fontwell a few weeks ago. This step up in trip should suit the son of Mahler and he remains on a workable mark. Almazhar Garde disappointed on soft ground last time but could bounce back with conditions likely to be more suitable here, while Konfusion and Militaire complete the shortlist.
