VERDICT: Jennie Candlish may have got a bargain in the ex-Juddmonte Frankel gelding Pergamon, who showed plenty of ability when with Andre Fabre. He is a fascinating contender but it is hard not to stick with Further Measure, who has won five of his six races in 2025 and looks ready for the rise in class. Wonder probably didn't have much to beat over C&D, but he got the job done and has more to offer now his stamina is proven. Charging Thunder is worth a look on his return to the level.
