VERDICT: Alex The Great had plenty in hand when scoring over C&D earlier in the month and a 5lb rise for that success may underestimate Tony Carroll's gelding. Star Of Markinch chased home the selection on that occasion and could well do so once again, although Market House is another in-form five-year-old who has to be of interest. Zephlyn made the frame in a similar event last time and completes the shortlist.
