VERDICT: Kalypso Du Caux (16) is difficult to trust but is capable of winning a race like this if in the right mood. Kapitano Valou (11) showed improvement when barefoot at Rouen-Mauquenchy and remains unshod, making him a lively threat. Klassic De Tillard (3) has yet to win but is edging closer and would not be a surprise winner.
