VERDICT: Wide-open race and it may pay to go wide. Pongola caught the eye in a slightly stronger grade and should enjoy the drop in class. He does come from off the pace so a wide draw may not pose too much of a problem. BASIE RAAKVAAT is another that finishes well. He gave signs in his last start he could be in the firing line soon. Future Saint is holding form. He was beaten in a close finish and may step up on that for his overdue next win. Animal Impact's last run where he set the pace on sticky ground after a rest is best ignored. His penultimate run was fair and he has drawn well.
