VERDICT: Beta Reader came from out of the clouds to get up by a head over C&D earlier in the month and a 2lb rise for that success may underestimate him. Charlie Johnston's three-year-old makes only his second start in handicap company and could take another step forward. Party Bear showed more when hitting the woodwork over 6f at this venue in January and she might improve for this step up in distance. Maids Head is next best.
