VERDICT: Duke Of Deception returned to form with a solid second at Warwick 10 days ago and he must enter the reckoning off an unchanged mark. However, those recent exertions could leave the eight-year-old vulnerable and Wal Buck's rates as the most solid proposition. The Buck's Boum gelding's jumping wasn't the most fluent when finishing third at Uttoxeter in January, but he makes grand appeal returning to the scene of his last triumph. The downgraded Amateur is also noted.
