VERDICT: Mikimoto showed promise in his earlier starts and it would be harsh to judge him on the face value of being pulled up the last twice. Those efforts came in stiffer-looking races and the son of Scorpion could fare better dropping back in trip with a visor added. However, preference is for Groovy Blue, who sets the standard according to the official ratings and can progress further on just his second start after wind surgery. El Rayo also commands respect.
