VERDICT: Charlie Appleby has an impressive 32 per cent strike-rate at this venue in the last five years and he saddles newcomer Wishful Spirit, a full-sister to a dual 7f juvenile winner, and Romantic Opera. The latter found one too good when sent off at odds-on over this trip at Kempton last time and could be worth another chance, but Zabeel Rain made eye-catching late headway when fifth over a mile here last month and she is perhaps the most interesting now stepped up in trip. Dojin also looked in need of further when third over 1m on debut.
