VERDICT: UK runner Pleasington is suited by testing ground and has useful recent form. Lightly raced, he has progressed well in recent months and while he steps up in grade, he nonetheless comfortably defeated the previously Grade 2-placed runner-up at Lingfield last month. Last year's Royal Ascot winner Belloccio scored impressively on his hurdling debut last May but was soundly beaten in the Royal Bond in December. Despite winning a French Listed Flat race on soft ground in 2020, he seems more suited by a sound surface, although he holds stablemate Gaucher on that Fairyhouse form, being 4lb better off. Goraibhmaithagat has recent form and should compete.
