VERDICT: Ferrum (2) made a pleasing start to his career over hurdles with a cosy five lengths win at Machecoul early last month. The form has been held up as the second that day won recently. He can remain unbeaten over hurdles and is marginally preferred over Letsgo D'alene (3) who shaped well to be second at Pau in late December and can improve from that effort. Go To Battle (1) has been second three times and will have a say. Loup De Mer (4) is also worth a mention.
