VERDICT: This doesn't look the deepest race of it's type and a tentative vote goes to Looking Splendid. He was far from disgraced when third over 2m4f at Musselburgh last month and it would be no surprise if he were up to the task racing off an unchanged mark. On The Go hasn't cut much ice in his three qualifying runs but better can be expected now pitched into handicap company for the first time. Lathan is another for the shortlist, although his inconsistency is a concern.
