VERDICT: Runner-up over 5f here in a contest that has worked out very well since, Backspin since ran with credit when upped in trip at Lingfield in January. The son of Hello Youmzain could now be well treated off a mark of 72 on his handicap debut and he may have too much for Massimo Blue, who got off the mark with a comfortable success at Kempton last time out. The relatively consistent Horus is another to consider.
