VERDICT: Although Billytherealbigred was thwarted in his hat-trick bid when finishing second at Cheltenham in January, the five-year-old lost little in defeat. A 3lb higher mark looks more than fair for the son of Proconsul and he looks ready for this first step outside of novice handicap chase company. Coral Gold Cup winner Kandoo Kid may be heading for next month's Grand National and 2m4f may prove on the sharp side. With that in mind, a bigger threat may emerge from last month's Warwick winner Le Milos.
