VERDICT: Hallasan upset a well-backed stablemate when winning the trial for this contest four weeks ago and it is hard to see him being out of the frame. That said, clear preference is for Ruling Court, who bolted up on his debut over 7f at Sandown in July and was far from disgraced when third in the Acomb at York on his sole subsequent start. That was one of the strongest juveniles races in the UK last year and this son of Justify is likely to be too good for these. The rest look set to fight it out for the minor money at best, but The Fingal Raven is the pick of them.
