VERDICT: Charlie Appleby's pair standout here and the booking of William Buick suggests that Silver Knott is the one to side with. The son of Lope De Vega has been US based the last couple of seasons and won multiple Grade 2 events there last year. He has subsequently struggled in Grade 1 company twice but still gets the vote here. Arabian Crown looked to be a top prospect when winning the Zetland at Newmarket as a juvenile and was an impressive winner of the Classic Trial at Sandown on his only start in 2024. Unlike the selection, there could be more to come from the four-year-old and he could upset his stablemate. Highway Robber won a US Grade 3 at Keeneland on his most recent start and is the pick of the remainder on his debut for Charlie Hills.
