VERDICT: Cagliostro sets the standard following his narrow defeat in the Firebreak over C&D in January and a repeat of that performance would see him go well. However, the strength of that form can be questioned and marginal preference is for T O Saint Denis. Stall nine for the Japanese raider is not ideal, but he had the early pace to lead the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile field in November and ended up finishing a place in front of Cagliostro, albeit well beaten. If Oisin Murphy can get him to the lead, the six-year-old could be hard to catch. With a field of 16 a good trip will be vital here, and as a result Sound Money and Oasis Boy could end up outrunning their likely prices.
