VERDICT: A decent sort on the level for previous connections, Elforleather made a promising start to his hurdles career when second at Southwell last month and, with normal improvement, he is expected to go one better. That may be at the main expense of Maple, who was denied by the narrowest of margins at Catterick most recently. Not beaten too far on his hurdles bow at Market Rasen, Miners Gamble is another open to improvement.
