ANALYSIS: Towards rear, closer 4 out, disputed close 3rd 2 out and pushed along, every chance when mistake and blundered last, not recover and eased
VERDICT: Real Stone bounced back to form in no uncertain terms when ridden positively at Wetherby last month and the 10-year-old must be respected off 6lb higher. Preference, however, is for Helnwein. Alan King's charge made an extremely promising start to life over fences when filling the runner-up spot at Warwick, shaping like the best horse in the race. He's disappointed twice since then, but recent wind surgery could work the oracle. Gallic Geordie is another to consider.
