ANALYSIS: Always in rear, jumped right 1st, not fluent 4th, soon driven, awkward 5th, weakened before 3 out, soon pulled up
VERDICT: Laughing John finished just under four lengths behind Star Of Guiting (second) when third on his hurdling debut at Newbury last month and he could improve past that more exposed rival. Le Soleil Reve failed to justify favouritism on his first start at Exeter in December (a race won by Star Of Guiting) but he might be worth another chance, while any market confidence behind newcomer Mad Maxios would be interesting.
