VERDICT: Hyland failed to complete the hat-trick when occupying the runner-up berth in Grade 1 company at Kempton on Boxing Day, but Nicky Henderson's grey is likely to have his supporters now that he drops back into a handicap. However, a chance can be taken on Beachcomber, who accounted for Golden Son (third) by just over 10 lengths over track and trip in December and only has a 9lb higher mark to contend with. With a repeat of that performance, he could be the one to beat. Lowry's Bar has had a fine campaign and is another to keep an eye on.
