VERDICT: Franciscaine (5) was a decent fourth on her latest start at Deauville in a maiden and is the tentative selection in this handicap. She was not beaten far on her latest start and looks reasonably well handicapped. Aleksine (1) can make the selection work hard for the win. He got off the mark on the PSF two starts ago in late November at Marseille Pont De Vivaux in a maiden. Anothermine (4) and Kohana (3) are both logical options each way.
