VERDICT: A marked step up in distance proved just the trick for last month's C&D winner Bruce Banner and he may prove too strong for his rivals once more. A switch to Ollie Sangster's yard shouldn't hamper his follow-up bid and a 1lb nudge up in the ratings looks more than workable. Sydney Whistler was far more competitive on his second-placed handicap bow at Wolverhampton earlier this month and he's feared most, ahead of Hi Ya Mal.
