VERDICT: Badbury Rings showed marked improvement when stepped up to 3m on his last two starts and could be tough to overhaul if he continues to flourish in the same manner. His second-placed finish at Taunton most recently reads well and there should be more to come on just his third start in a handicap. Point-to-pointer winner Western Harmony is feared most, with this longer distance likely to be beneficial on his handicap debut. Copshill Lad is a notable alternative with last month's return under his belt.
