VERDICT: A lengthy absence was no barrier to De Tellers Fortune making a winning handicap/chase debut when he gained a hard-fought success under James Bowen at Taunton in December. With the same jockey retained and the likelihood of improvement now he has some experience in this discipline, a 6lb higher rating might not be enough to prevent the lightly-raced six-year-old from following up over this longer trip. Course hat-trick seeker Pedley Wood is the most obvious danger, although the first-time visor could initiate a revival from The Wrekin.
