VERDICT: The penny has really dropped for Gaiety Musical, who completed a quick-fire hat-trick when always just doing enough over 1m at Kempton on Wednesday. However, those wins all came over further and she was soundly beaten on her only previous start here, so she could be vulnerable now eased in trip and returned to Southwell under a 5lb penalty. Course winner Enola Grey ran out of gas close home when third over 1m here last week and, off a 1lb lower mark, she looks set for a big run now back over 7f. Quandary has run well in defeat the last twice.
