VERDICT: Vocal Legend sets the standard with a pair of runner-up finishes over 7f and is sure to be very popular in this very winnable 6f contest. However, the Charlie Hills-trained colt was doing his best work at the finish on both occasions and a drop in trip may not be ideal here, so it could be worth taking him on with Adversary. While no match for the winner when second over this C&D 15 days ago, that was an improvement on last year's debut and there should be more to come from him. 80,000-pound newcomer Dream Out Loud represents an in-form yard and warrants respect.
