VERDICT: Holding Thumbs is in good form and should have the run of the race from gate No 1. He had subsequent Western Cape Stayers winner Mucho Dinero beaten last time and that could be the form line to be with. Without Question had the class to run well in the 2024 Cape Town Met but has had a stop-start season. He is capable of taking it. Baratheon wasn't disgraced in this year's Met from a wide draw and needs to be taken seriously. Otto Luyken should be right there on form along with Call To Unite who carries a handy weight.
