VERDICT: Brinton posted a solid effort when finishing third over the extended mile here on Saturday night and appeals with the additional yardage likely to be beneficial given the way that race panned out. A sharper start could also help Jonathan Portman's four-year-old and she might be tough to resist if this doesn't come around too soon. Marvellous Lady could be the chief danger if revved up by the first-time visor, while Venus Slipper should also be competitive in a weak event such as this.
