VERDICT: Nothing really stands out and it could be a race in which to go wide. Ideal Gift is versatile and capable of a decent finish. She has drawn well and should be right there. Attaboy caught the eye after a rest. He has matured and gives the impression 1600m could be up his alley. Fireburst is a lot better than her recent form. She should have a less arduous task in this heat especially from draw No 1. Connoisseur has drawn widest but has the gate speed to overcome it and go on to challenge for the win. BASIE RAAKVAAT, Beach Palace and Pongola all can show up well in this.
