VERDICT: Having disposed of his rivals in a class 2 handicap at Windsor last month, Matata looks ready for a return to Grade 2 company. The second-season chaser has shown improvement with each run since returning with a close-up second at Cheltenham in October and he can be the one to capitalise on the late withdrawal of Arkle favourite Sir Gino. Edwardstone is a solid performer at this level and he warrants respect having landed last year's contest in ready fashion. Libberty Hunter boasts a similar profile to the selection and cannot be ruled out either.
