VERDICT: A competitive-looking opening race handicap. Palmeira Emery (2) showed improvement at Deauville when runner-up over a similar distance just two weeks ago and can go one better. Alex The Dancer (4) is clearly unreliable but could be a threat if repeating his good penultimate effort which was at this track. Semeur (8) is consistent at this course and has a winning chance. Dream Angel (1) ran well at Lyon-La Soie but is not the most reliable type.
