VERDICT: This is likely to go to one of the newcomers, with Paratrooper, a half-brother to 1000 Guineas runner-up Cloak Of Spirits, suggested as the first one to consider. The son of Frankel has little to fear from starting out on the all-weather and appeals with his yard remaining in good form. The Godolphin-owned Alpine Trail, a 550,000-euro yearling, is related to several winners and is an obvious threat on paper. Similar comments apply to Motawaared, who can only benefit from this debut run.
