VERDICT: After a long spell on the sidelines, Gump Du Poncelet (8) sparked improvement last time and races fully unshod on this occasion, so is a genuine candidate for race honours. Grand Roi Kalouma (11) finished a good 4th here on New Year's Day and again promises to be competitive for victory. Gagneur (15), Feu De Revolte (13) and last-start winner Galie De Celiniere (7), with Alexandre Abrivard at the helm, are also legitimate contenders for the podium. Garou Du Chene (5), barefoot, and Falko De Nouville (16) appeal most of the remainder.
