VERDICT: Lou Gehrig (12) is undefeated in two starts. He returns from a break but has impressed so far and sets the standard for this race. Lorky Red (11) was a good third at Lyon-La Soie last month and can fight out the finish again. Lascar De Yor (8) is knocking very hard at the door and should be right there in the mix of things again. Lanciano (9) is barefoot so expect a much-improved performance.
