VERDICT: Quatrain worryingly disappointed here earlier this month but contests a weak race and had previously shown nice form. She needs to return to the form shown in maidens in 2024 but seems ideally suited by this distance and also likes this all-weather surface. Ocean Diamond made her belated career debut here in December wearing a tongue-tie and while she started a strong favourite, seemed to disappoint. That tongue-tie is notably left off today and improvement should be expected. Vierson was probably unsuited by heavy ground when disappointing on her previous run last October. She had shown form earlier that month at Bellewstown but now reverts down to a much shorter distance and lacks race-fitness.
