VERDICT: Maxcel failed to complete a hat-trick when well beaten in a stronger event at Market Rasen last July, but he is an interesting contender on his seasonal return. However, HMS President gets the nod. Alan King's eight-year-old justified short odds at Kempton before hitting the crossbar at Huntingdon next time and he now makes his first start in a handicap in this sphere. Black Hawk Eagle is next best.
