VERDICT: On Lockdown (8) was touched off in the shadow of the post in the key reference event earlier this month but need only repeat that performance to gain compensation. Saxon Village (4) was desperately unlucky in that race so he deserves another chance. Consistent Mercurissime (2) and Noce D'or (10), whose latest performance was encouraging, should make their presence felt too. Bougainvillier (3) is a potential spoilsport and will appeal to lovers of oustiders.
