VERDICT: Back to a more reasonable level after taking his chances in superior company, Goliath Du Caux (1) has nothing to prove in the claiming category and from the front row can win this. He is going to be opposed though by the better-positioned Extra Du Chatelet (4) who has yet to be beaten when barefoot in this class, and the widely-drawn Franklin Park (9) who reassured here last week. Emoi Special (2) has been handed a good spot behind the car and even though unseen since last June, he is battle-hardened and will have his chances.
