VERDICT: Amafort won her maiden well enough to suggest she could go well on handicap debut. But this race represents a stiff test. Jeanne Darc wasn't far off Amafort and then went onto win her maiden in good style. She too has room for improvement but has drawn wide. Avernian Goddess will need to make her move from the outside as well. She ran a fair race last time and must be included in all bets. Emerald Green suddenly impressed over the course and distance. She has drawn in gate No 1 and could repeat. Tequila Sky (Western Cape form) could be anything on local debut.
