VERDICT: An open affair this where stride woes can alter the complexion of the race, it is still hard to ignore the talented but tricky Loumanas (3) who reverts to racing with front pads. More reliable and barefoot for the first time, Lucciana Haufor (12) gave a fine account of herself here late last month and will not be easily disposed of. Permitted to race barefoot this time, the complicated La Garbo (1) will have her chances if applied. Front shoes off, Leiria (6) will be expected to show marked improvement on her latest performance.
