VERDICT: Pure Steel shaped nicely here last month and can step forward now. The Yeats gelding finished fourth to a decent sort in Sky Lord on his track debut having won a point-to-point last March. That form looks strong with the winner finishing fourth in Grade 2 company since and the runner-up, Kappa Jy Pyke, winning at Punchestown on Sunday. Luker's Tipple looks like the obvious danger after finishing runner-up on his hurdling debut at Punchestown. Sean Mc, a half-brother to six-time winner Killiney Court, is a newcomer to note.
