VERDICT: Cherry King has run with credit by producing a pair of seconds, despite failing to justify favouritism on each of his last two starts in classified stakes, and has to be respected now that he steps back into the handicap ranks. However, the vote goes to United Force, who struck in this grade at Southwell last month and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 3lb. With a repeat of that display, he will prove hard to beat. Bo Taifan completes the shortlist.
