VERDICT: Palacio caused a minor surprise on his hurdling debut at Chepstow before being pitched into a better race at Cheltenham last month where he finished third after setting a decent pace. Back into calmer waters, Sam Thomas' gelding has been found an ideal opportunity to continue his progression. Starcrossed Lover has to enter calculations following his Windsor success, while Renoir appears best of the remainder.
