VERDICT: Aird was heavily backed over C&D last month, but was outgunned in second which was still a fair effort behind a promising horse. Robyn Donaghue-Leahy's 4lb claim is a bonus in this apprentice maiden and those losses may be recouped now. Free Flow banked four runner-up finishes on turf for James Barrett and has moved to Ross O'Sullivan, so he should be in contention. Gavin Cromwell's Babich has to be respected. He has been hurdling in November and December, however, his last run on the Flat saw him take the runner-up spot over an extended 10-furlongs in Roscommon. Autumn Twist is well worth a market check as he had some decent form in France quite some time ago.
